FORS at Oracle Cloud Day 2017

The annual Oracle Cloud Day Conference was held on 26 October in Moscow at the Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel under the slogan "The Future is Today."
Innovation, rapid adaptation of business to changing conditions, reducing costs, increasing reliability are all potential benefits of the cloud, making it a key component of any business strategy. Oracle Cloud Day is a rare opportunity for professionals to share their experiences in just one day and learn how breakthrough technologies are helping to find new opportunities to scale existing and future solutions.
The participants focused on such issues as:
- Modernizing IT departments and reducing costs by moving workloads to the cloud;
- Optimizing data management;
- Integration of existing solutions with innovative ones.
Andrey Tambovsky, FORS Technology Director, made the opening speech on behalf of a Platinum Sponsor, telling about the cloud services offered by the company as an Oracle Cloud Managed Service Provider. The speaker mentioned the award received recently by FORS Distribution, which reached the final of the Oracle Excellence World Contest in the nomination Oracle Cloud Transformation Award.
Alexey Kotelnitsky, key expert at FORS, made a presentation at the Modernization of Applications and Infrastructure session. It was entitled "Practical Experience in Development and Implementation of OMC Services for Hybrid Infrastructure". The expert shared his practical experience of implementing the Oracle Managed Cloud deployment Project at the customer's site, speaking about the implementation goals, the architecture of the solution and the results obtained.
The presentation by Olga Gorchinskaya, Director of Research Projects at the company, was devoted to the use of Oracle Advanced Analytics Toolkit for working with data from wearable devices. To improve the quality of diagnosis and effectiveness of treatment in the company, a special software complex for monitoring and analysis of tremor in Parkinson's disease and other neurological diseases was developed , based on the analysis of data retrieved from wearable devices.
The Forum also hosted an exhibition of partner solutions. The FORS booth presented the practical capabilities and experience of working with Oracle Management Cloud, demonstrating cloud services and a set of competencies. And in the 3D Photo Zone one could make an unforgettable CLOUD FLIGHT.
